Chapter 389: The Three Factions of the Ford Group
Chapter 389: The Three Factions of the Ford Group
Thea Shaw joined the Ford Group.
She naturally went through the standard procedures.
Even though Landon Ford has an entire department of secretaries, each with their own roles, Thea Shaw wasn’t part of any of them.
She was placed alone in Landon Ford’s office, quite freely.
Of course, since she was there to earn her salary, Thea felt she should make an effort.
This effort led her to realize on her first day of work that to arrive at the company on time, she had to get up at five from the Sutton Family’s place to wash up.
So she called Landon Ford and successfully pushed her work start time back by two hours.
Anyway, her work end time wasn’t fixed; she left when Landon left.
In the evenings, Landon either cooked for her or took her out to eat.
Of course, as a proper twenty-year-old girl, Thea still had to return home on time.
Only Zia Sutton was shocked about her joining the Ford Group: "You’re already starting to infiltrate the Ford Group, preparing in advance to gather insider information for the future when you and Landon will fight for power and profit together."
Receiving this nonsensical call from Zia, Thea was a bit speechless: "Have you been watching too many TV dramas?"
"Not really!" Zia justified herself: "You didn’t know, the Ford Group internally is divided into three factions. One is Landon’s grandpa’s direct subordinates, the founders who helped establish the Ford Group. Another part belongs to Warren Ford’s people, and the remaining faction is Landon’s own power, like Phillip Lane, your group’s well-known secretary-general, who graduated from our school and is especially outstanding."
"For a group to have three factions, just think about how complicated their internal power struggles are."
A family business like the Sutton Family, which was built up single-handedly by Mr. Sutton, doesn’t have such troubles.
Thea really didn’t know this information. Mainly because Landon usually doesn’t talk about such bothersome matters with her. On her first day at work, Thea kept this information in mind and continued to ask Zia: "How do you know all this?"
"Everyone in the business circle knows."
This isn’t classified information.
Plus, with Warren Ford and Landon not getting along, there’s a lot of open and hidden strife between them.
So naturally, many people have spread the word around.
Zia, at least, is expected to take over the Sutton Family, and as the heir, she started learning about these things from high school, so she knows quite a bit.
It’s rare for her to have something Thea didn’t know to tell him, Zia was enthusiastic and couldn’t stop talking. The rest of her words made Thea instantly realize she slipped in some personal content: "You didn’t know, although that batch of old heroes who helped Landon’s grandpa establish the business are inclined towards Landon, some of them don’t want the Ford Group’s internal power to be so large."
"Usually, successors at least go through the ranks starting from the grassroots level. When Landon joined the group, he immediately held a senior executive position, jumping to group vice president within a few years, so it was like merely going through the motions. But Landon’s ability and wrist strength are very strong, even stronger than his father, okay?"
"But even so, those founders are also very dissatisfied, thinking that Grandpa Ford was just indulging Landon, putting him in place without their consent. So some people have also turned to Uncle Ford."
Finally, Zia sighed: "They’re all one family, how did it end up like this?"
