Chapter 352 - 328: God Forging (Part 1)
Chapter 352 - 328: God Forging (Part 1)
The Crimson Sun Demon Elephant Flame Prison Skill he cultivated had granted him unparalleled physical strength.
Even if he did nothing and let artillery shells bombard him, they wouldn’t be able to kill him.
And, as time passed, his power began to recover. He would track down that faint sense of dissonance and kill the key figure in the script—the human trafficker.
At this thought, he waved his arm.
A massive, semi-illusory black book covered in blood-red patterns materialized before him.
It was the Blood Word Script.
The moment it appeared, it opened on its own.
Its pages began to flip rapidly with a WHOOSH.
These pages contained both text and images.
The images were vivid and lifelike, though they mostly leaned toward the dark and bloody.
These pages could be considered a special kind of Dream Realm inherent to the Blood Word Script itself.
The Blood Word Script had only one Ability.
And that was authorship.
Through the act of writing, it could create one unusual Dream Realm after another.
The so-called "script tasks," to put it bluntly, were just individual scripts, fabricated and fictionalized.
Their purpose was to extract the emotion of fear from living creatures.
However, although the Blood Word Script was sentient, its intelligence was merely average.
To absorb the fear of living creatures on a grander scale, it needed someone to help it design the scripts.
The man he had killed earlier was the agent chosen by the Blood Word Script.
His sole purpose was to help the Blood Word Script design more efficient scripts for extracting fear from living creatures.
Because of his connection to the Blood Word Script, he existed as a kind of companion spirit.
This made him nearly impossible to kill.
Unfortunately for him, he ran into Hu Qi.
After Hu Qi killed him twice with the Crimson Sun Flame Fire, he was dead for good.
Even the power of a Dream Eye couldn’t save him.
Just then, the flipping pages froze on a single sheet.
It depicted a crimson space filled with stone platforms of various sizes. Atop these platforms rested objects with blurry, indistinct outlines.
Upon seeing this, Hu Qi took a step forward.
The page before him rippled like the surface of water.
Hu Qi’s figure sank directly into it and vanished.
When he reappeared, Hu Qi found himself inside a massive, crimson space.
As far as the eye could see, there was nothing but stone platforms.
The items resting on the platforms were bizarre and oddly shaped, varying in size and type. There was a bit of everything.
Human-skin masks, bone hairpins, old embroidered shoes, blood-red dolls, and more.
He even spotted a familiar-looking, grayish-white bus among the items.
It was the very same Deceitful Bus he had driven before.
Having acquired the memories of the Blood Word Script, Hu Qi naturally understood what this was all about.
These were all the Dream Eyes the Blood Word Script had collected.
The Blood Word Script’s task worlds came in two varieties.
The first type used the power of the Dream Realm to transport the "script actors" into other Nightmare Gaps. In these cases, they would encounter other, unfamiliar Dream Eyes.
During this process, the Blood Word Script could use the script actors to collect these other Dream Eyes.
Some script actors could even use this opportunity to master a Dream Eye and become a Dream Master.
However, these kinds of script tasks were extremely difficult, and it was common for the entire cast of script actors to be wiped out.
The second type involved Dream Realms created by the Blood Word Script itself.
The Dream Eye monsters and items within could be seen as projections of the power of the Dream Eyes controlled by the Blood Word Script.
These were relatively safer, but because the Dream Eyes within were mere projections and not physical entities, script actors couldn’t use them to master a Dream Eye and become a Dream Master.
Take the previous "internship" script task, for example.
The Deceitful Bus was just a faint projection of the true Deceitful Bus Dream Eye’s power, making it impossible to master.
Hu Qi’s gaze swept across the collection.
He didn’t let it linger on these Dream Eyes for long.
He took a step forward.
He arrived before a stone platform.
A special Dream Eye rested upon it.
It was a pitch-black, faceless humanoid figure, three meters tall, holding a long-handled Horse-cutting Saber.
Its name was ’Divine Statue’.
Its rule for killing was simple: anyone who saw it and failed to kneel within three seconds would be decapitated.
For now, however, this ’Divine Statue’ had entered a dormant state due to the Blood Word Script, and its killing rule was temporarily inactive.
Hu Qi observed the scene.
He closed his eyes.
He let his consciousness sink inward.
—
「In the Pocket World Space.」
In the very center floated a massive, transparent sphere, like a giant bubble.
Inside this bubble rested a vast, boundless island.
The island was surrounded by an endless expanse of azure seawater, both deep and clear. From time to time, schools of fish darted through the water like nimble arrowheads, their movements stirring shimmering ripples on the surface.
On the island itself, the figures of various animals could be seen.
Some were locked in fierce battles for survival, others were intently focused on the hunt. Still others diligently built their nests or gave birth to their young.
The scene was like that of a small, primitive world in its purest, most natural state.
Of course, that was only if one ignored the artificial sun hanging high above the island, radiating a blindingly brilliant light.
At this moment, on a steep cliff on the island, a gentle breeze was blowing.
A figure sat peacefully cross-legged.
His immaculate white robes fluttered gently in the wind. His face was flawless, as if he were a Celestial God from myth and legend who had descended upon the Mortal Realm.
He exuded an Extraordinary, otherworldly aura.
However, if one stared at him for too long, they would notice a hint of demonic charm hidden within his delicate features.
