THE GOD EATER

Chapter 679: Not Today.

Chapter 679: Not Today.

Each manifestation of Fenrir is only as powerful as divine creations. This means that they can only use the power of his Cave Heaven and can’t use any Divine Metacs to enhance their power.

Now that the size of his Cave Heaven is 821 million square kilometers and possesses an 800% amplification from his law fragments, the power of his Cave Heaven is 6(Cultivation Rank) × 821 million(Cave Heaven) × 9(Law Fragments), which is 44,334 units of divine power.

With this power, the manifestations of Fenrir can take on a rank 6 divine being with one rank 6 Divine Metac and a Cave Heaven that is 34 million square kilometers in size, with a 500% amplification from their law fragments.

The alternative is a rank 6 divine being with one rank 6 Divine Metac and a Cave Heaven that is 29 million square kilometers in size, with a 600% amplification from their law fragments. In general, the higher the amplification of the law fragments, the smaller the Cave Heaven has to be for the manifestations.

The first option is more likely, though. Such a divine being with a Cave Heaven that is 34 million square kilometers in size and a 500% amplification from their law fragments will have a power of 44,064 units of divine.

The manifestations of Fenrir will barely be able to overpower 44,064 units of divine, but this will require that the divine beings leave the second heaven first. This is because the manifestations of Fenrir can’t use most of their power in the second heaven.

So they will need the divine being to try to escape before they can actually hunt such a weak divine being. If the divine being refuses to leave the second heaven, there is nothing the manifestations will be able to do other than slowly drain them of their lifespan.

The manifestations can slowly pressure the divine beings to escape the second heaven. It will come at great cost to him because he will need to keep the manifestations alive during the process. But if it works and the divine beings leave the second heaven, he will get a great return on his investment.

When he thought about it, he shook his head and said, "Maybe there will come a day when those manifestations become reliable hunting partners, but today is not that day."

As bad as this is, it is better than what the manifestations could do before. After all, what they can do now is a product of the two years of hunting, in which they gained an extra 352 million square kilometers and over a hundred million units of law fragments.

If it were two years ago, when his Cave Heaven was still 469 million square kilometers in size, and the amplification of his law fragments was still 700%, the manifestations of Fenrir would be more helpless than they are currently.

However, he doesn’t think that the manifestations of Fenrir are useless. The opposite is actually the case because the manifestations are useful for him in many other ways.

The manifestations eat spirit creatures, which increase his possession of law fragments. They help him to search for prey and mark the prey when they find a suitable one. They also help him track prey when he is too busy to do so himself.

With them doing all of these for him, he couldn’t blame them for being too weak to help him hunt. In fact, he didn’t expect them to help him with that. This is because he considered fighting and killing enemies his job and responsibility.

He was thinking about this and his plan for after his hunt with the rank 7 cultivator. As for the hunt with the rank 7 cultivator itself, he didn’t think about it at all.

He didn’t think about the hunt because he considered it to be already won. His source of confidence lies in the fact that the rank 7 can’t use the power of his Cave Heaven in the second heaven.

With this handicap restricting every divine being in the second heaven, the rank 7 cultivator will only be able to use three Divine Metacs. Loki also can’t use the power of his Cave Heaven, but he has 25 Divine Metacs to use.

So the death of the rank 7 cultivator is certain. What is uncertain is how the rank 7 cultivator will die and what he will do after the rank 7 cultivator is dead.

After thinking about his plan, he said to himself, "It will depend on how strong I become after I advance. If I put on a lot of power, I don’t mind throwing a party before I leave."

It took him 2 days to find the rank 7 cultivator. By then, many rank 6 cultivators had become too scared to stay in the second heaven.

The death of the rank 6 swordsman had rattled them, so they left the second heaven. Their exodus was encouraged when some metal dogs attacked six divine beings.

Two of the six divine beings who were attacked by metal dogs managed to escape, though. Those two had helpers who helped them fend off the metal dogs.

Only four of the six died. And even though these four were very weak, the death of 13 divine beings in such a short amount of time alarmed the other divine beings.

For now, powerful rank 7 cultivators were still unwilling to stop hunting spirit creatures. This was because the metal dogs were weak.

They had identified the killers and knew that they were weak. There was also the fact that not all of the six who were attacked were killed. If all six had died, they would have been more wary.

But for now, rank 7 cultivators with three Divine Metacs didn’t have a good reason to fear for their lives. This turned out to be a wrong conclusion as the rank 7 giant warrior soon discovered.

The giant warrior was a woman. She was a giant with a lion’s head and a human body.
