Chapter 18 Gravity Chamber

"Anything I understand can be reconstructed and manifested through the power of the Ace of Spades."

"Firearms are the most basic skill in the Ace of Spades, which is why I was able to use a range of firearms during the last terrorist attack."

Guan Yun's eyes lit up instantly, and Liu An and Qi Wu exchanged glances and both saw the worry in each other's eyes.

"This kid's abilities... are terrifying."

Guan Yun rushed up to Shi Yu, his eyes sparkling as he asked.

Shi Yu nodded gently, and Guan Yun immediately grabbed Shi Yu's hands.

Guan Yun's hands were icy cold, as if they were made of jade.

After Guan Yun used the holographic tablet to input Shi Yu's abilities, he chuckled as if he had found a treasure, and then said to Shi Yu in a serious tone.

"Come with me, your training room is ready."

Guan Yun stood up and walked out, followed closely by Shi Yu.

"Now that I know about Shigure's abilities, I'm actually more worried about his safety."

After taking a graceful sip of tea, Liu An walked out of the conference room, followed closely by Qi Wu.

"Do you think those otherworldly beings will try to poach this kid once they find out?"

Liu An glanced at the scenery outside and asked in confusion.

Guan Yun led Shi Yu to a transparent room. After Guan Yun tapped the wall a few times, the transparent room instantly cracked open.

"Gravity training room, train your reaction speed and resistance to gravity."

After Shiyu went inside, a holographic panel suddenly appeared in front of her. She adjusted the gravity to twice the normal value and then closed the holographic panel.

A sudden gust of wind swept through the room, forcing Shigure to equip the Ace of Spades and summon his Blade.

The blade easily sank into the floor, while Shigure managed to avoid being blown away by the wind by clinging tightly to it.

Suddenly, a flash of light appeared, and a scar appeared on Shigure's arm.

"Is something strange happening?"

Just as Shi Yu was about to go over, alarm bells went off in her mind, and she instinctively kicked the charging monster away.

Shigure chose to pull out the alien blade that was stuck in the floor and turn it into twin blades.

Shiyu, relying on the wind's direction and her own perception, along with the Ace of Spades' reminders, repeatedly dodged the strange creature's attacks and severely injured it. After fighting for a while, she finally killed the strange creature.

But Shigure didn't even have a chance to catch her breath before a second monster quickly took its place. With no other option, Shigure had to drag her exhausted body to stand up again with the strange monster.

Shi Yu felt that the five hours in the gravity chamber were completely different from the five hours at school; those five hours felt like fifty thousand years to him.

Five hours passed quickly, and then dusk cast its last gentle light through the windows into the hunter's base.

Guan Yun and Yu Yan stood at the entrance of the gravity chamber. At that moment, the door of the gravity chamber opened, and Shi Yu, supporting her body which was about to faint, walked out.

Shiyu, her heavy eyelids drooping, glanced at the two people in front of her, but eventually collapsed from exhaustion.

Yu Yan rushed forward and caught Shi Yu. Before losing consciousness, Shi Yu only felt her face being enveloped by two large, soft, and warm things, and then...

That was the end of it, because Yu had completely passed out by then.

"I'll take him to Sister Liu'an's place first, otherwise this kid won't be able to go on the mission tonight."

Yu Yan picked Shi Yu up and carried him towards Liu An's infirmary.

"That kid..."

Guan Yun looked at the holographic panel in his hand, which showed Shi Yu's performance in the gravity chamber over five hours.

All five strange creatures—four C-rank and one B-rank—were killed by Shigure's strange blade, with none surviving.

Guan Yun looked at the strange blade that Shi Yu had dropped on the ground. Just as he was about to pick it up, he discovered that the strange blade had instantly turned into a streak of light and disappeared.

"He's really a perfect candidate to be a guinea pig."

After an unknown amount of time, Shi Yu barely opened her eyes and found Liu An, with a gentle expression, sitting by her bedside, holding a bowl of porridge in her hand.

"What am I doing...?"

Liu An scooped up a spoonful of porridge, blew on it gently, and then held it to Shi Yu's lips.

"It's just an adverse reaction the first time you enter the gravity chamber. You'll get used to it after a few more times."

"Come on, ah..."

Liu An patiently fed Shi Yu spoonful by spoonful until the bowl of porridge was completely finished.

"Alright, lie down and rest for a while longer. I'll come and wake you when it's time to leave."

Liu An took the bowl and went out, but soon came back in, holding a small square that was the same size as the protective suit but a completely different color.

"Let's go, we're ready to leave."
