Chapter 26 Recruitment Mechanism
Chapter 26 Recruitment Mechanism
Ronan, seeing the troubled look in O'Neill's eyes, said rather elegantly:
"Try it first and see if it tastes good..."
Oona tentatively picked up a piece of Xi Shi Tofu, took a small sip, and her eyebrows suddenly curved into a smile, her face full of unexpected surprise.
"Is there any special story behind 'Xi Shi Tofu'?"
O'Na Li had never heard of Xi Shi Tofu before.
Ronan spoke directly to Onali:
"This is a story I made up myself. It's about a beautiful woman taking advantage of someone..."
O'Na Li then sampled Zhaojun Duck. She chewed it slowly in small bites, her lips unconsciously curving upwards, her face showing contentment. When she ate Diao Chan Tofu, her tongue touched the tender and smooth texture, and her eyes were full of surprise. The more she ate, the more she found it to her liking.
Now, Onali continued:
"You wouldn't have created these stories about Wang Zhaojun and Diaochan, would you...?"
Ronan nodded, seemingly indicating that the response was quite positive.
Unfortunately, no text appeared in front of Ronan to tell him that locals were currently enjoying the food.
Ronan could only conclude that Oonali was not human to begin with.
She is a ghost story.
Strictly speaking, he's no longer a member of the Hellow clan.
It's just a ghost story, so there's no question of any residents.
Ronan continued watching O'Neill eat.
Oona picked up the Imperial Concubine Chicken and took a small bite. Her eyes widened in surprise at how delicious it was. She then tasted the braised pork knuckle, savoring it slowly with small bites. Her eyebrows and eyes gradually relaxed, and her face was full of amazement. She ate the steamed pork with rice flour, chewing it carefully. Her cheeks puffed up slightly, and her eyes were full of joy at how delicious it was.
Her little mouth opened wider and wider.
"It's delicious, probably because it has meat in it. It's definitely better than tomato and egg noodles."
Oona picked up the braised fish, carefully removed the bones, and put it in her mouth. Her eyes lit up instantly. The freshness surprised her. She slowly savored the braised pork belly. The smooth texture surprised her. Her expression softened and she was delighted. She bit into the crispy pork. The crispy outside and tender inside made her eyes light up. She was full of surprise and couldn't stop eating it.
Then she started drinking the stewed chicken soup. The warmth spread down her throat, and her eyes softened. She was surprised by how delicious it was. She bit into a four-happiness meatball, and the rich aroma of meat wafted over her. She nodded gently, savoring the taste with an incredulous look. She gnawed on the braised pork ribs, chewing slowly. The way the meat was prepared made Oona Nali a little worried.
O'Neill said:
"Can I cook these dishes?"
Ronan, however, told her from his position as head chef:
"The executive chef really needs to teach you a lesson!"
Ronan stood in the center of the kitchen and began directing O'Neill while keeping an eye on her.
Oona stood blankly in the center, holding a kitchen knife, staring at the dense array of ingredients.
Ronan began his lecture.
"First, let's determine the nature of these dishes. For light vegetarian soups, there's Xi Shi Tofu and Diao Chan Tofu; for poultry, there's Zhaojun Duck, Guifei Chicken, and Stewed Chicken; for river fish, there's Braised Fish; for hearty pork dishes, there's Braised Pork Knuckle, Steamed Pork Belly, Steamed Pork with Rice Flour, and Braised Spare Ribs; for fried dishes, there's Crispy Pork; and for signature steamed meatballs, there's Four Happiness Meatballs. We'll serve the dishes in this order..."
O'Neill looked at Ronan with a bewildered expression, seemingly understanding but not quite.
At this moment, Ronan was still thinking about how to continue speaking when the words reappeared before his eyes.
[Occupation: Restaurant owner/shareholder]
You've already achieved success in the catering industry, and your goal is to continuously expand your business empire and make it even stronger.
Your restaurant has hired a second employee.
You will pay for and guarantee star-rating protection for your employees.
[Currently facing trial rating: 3.01 + 0.01 = 3.02]
[This applies to all major industries, including heroin. Properly training employees is the boss's responsibility; otherwise, don't recruit. Please carefully consider your recruitment process and only recruit after the training period is over. Only after recruitment can you see the employee's star rating.]
Your employee, Onali
Rating: 5 stars (out of 6)
[Ability: Capitalists are overjoyed! As an employee of a ghost story, she doesn't get any rest time. She can work 24 hours a day, and she even has clones to help you work as an employee.]
[30% of the positive reviews your employees receive from travelers (3 stars or higher) will be included in your data.]
Ronan chuckled to himself.
O'Neill asked with some curiosity:
"Mr. Ronan, what's wrong...?"
Ronan smiled elegantly.
"It's alright, I'll continue talking and listening..."
"Because we need to serve the dishes quickly, we first simmer and stew some of the dishes in advance until they are tender. Dishes such as braised pork belly, steamed pork with rice flour, four-happiness meatballs, and braised pork knuckle need to be steamed or braised. They are marinated, seasoned, and then slowly steamed in a steamer to ensure they are soft, tender, and flavorful."
As Ronan finished speaking, Oona also became more familiar with him.
Once Eunal was able to cook for herself, Ronan repeated his previous routine, giving Eunal a huge amount of ingredients and making her start cooking like crazy.
Ronan now understands that he seems to need to personally train employees in order to truly recruit them.
This judgment is quite interesting.
I never imagined that ghost stories could be used as employees.
Ronan opened the ghost story website and found it overflowing with private messages.
He simply turned off private messages and blocked them all.
Looking at this post, there are already over 10,000 replies.
Ronan was somewhat exhausted, but he continued to examine the material layer by layer.
Wait, something's not right here... something's weird happening at the scene...
[Could the original poster be the perpetrator? The evil citizen himself has jumped out...]
[That was so exciting... I'm in! This scene has a bit of a ritualistic feel to it, and I actually like it. I'll do it again next time...]
[Aren't the people upstairs evil citizens too...?]
[I'm a traveler, and this case on my end has caused quite a stir, becoming the first SS+ quest. This is definitely a big boss; who would elegantly pose with a corpse while wearing such a classic villain's white suit and mask? Now we're all calling him "Newbie Guy" because he's the guy who committed the bizarre crime in the newbie dungeon. Solving this case will get you 10 draws. I really want to solve this case...]
Ronan was speechless.
He now seems to be constantly pushing the limits of the Bureau of Paranormal Activities.
It has consistently delivered tremendous shocks to players.
Ronan was initially a little worried.
But now Ronan is no longer worried.
Because his subsequent tasks were easy.
Where did this strange thing happen? It would be easy to catch the perpetrator who killed someone with a camera. In the end, Oona's clone exploded, and Ronan made Oona choose diamonds from people who had a grievance that required killing someone.
The storyline was fulfilled, and the final website and camera settings were also satisfactory.
While the ghost stories aren't exactly scary, they're classic enough, easy to solve, and offer players a chance to win. Ultimately, they're novel. With such a bizarre murder mystery going on rampage in a beginner's dungeon, Ronan figured that aside from the unlucky traveler, no one else would give him a particularly bad review.
