Chapter 36 Terra is attacking Stella's mortgage!
Chapter 36 Terra is attacking Stella's mortgage!
Welcome!
Welcome!
Terra walked into the union hall.
Andrea 2 followed them in. Although they had caused quite a stir in the black market, it seemed that the Adventurers' Guild hadn't fully received the news yet.
But then again, news can't travel that fast.
Andrea 2 inexplicably recalled the time when she first arrived in Mi City and sat on the street crying and calling for her mother.
The tips of her ears turned red.
She would think about that incident from time to time, even though no adventurer had mentioned it.
I guess the adventurers already know about that.
It's okay. As long as Andrea 2 believes that nobody knows, then nobody knows.
She looked around the hall, which was as noisy as ever.
Many new adventurers gathered around the bulletin board, vying for the latest posted quests, even though they were mostly quests that didn't contribute many points.
There was a sparse queue in front of Miss Stella's counter.
The noise subtly subsided when the new adventurers saw Terra enter. They glanced at him out of the corner of their eyes, a mixture of curiosity and wariness.
Then I looked at Andrea 2 with pure amazement.
This pleased Andrea 2.
Mana, who followed the elf and Terra into the hall, frowned when she saw these new faces: "Why are there so many new people here again today? There aren't many tasks left to begin with, and now they have to come and take them away."
Lagon crossed his arms and snorted, "It's because so many new people have come that the high-paying, high-difficulty commissions are almost gone. Originally, those kinds of tasks were only for skilled people like us, but now, a difficult task is infinitely broken down into many smaller ones, with little pay and a lot of work."
Nora: "But you can't let them go without food, can you?"
Lagon: "You're a female knight, with a kind heart. I don't care about those things. The idea of that little boy thanking you with flowers will never happen to me. But..."
Lagon smiled and patted his fanny pack.
"We got quite a bit from that old guy's trading post just now; that should be enough for a while."
Ragon walked up to Terra and patted him on the back: "Terra, this money is yours. I originally went to find that dealer who sold fake information to apologize to you, but I didn't expect that we would have to rely on you to break in in the end."
Terra saw the lizardman NPC suddenly bring over a large bag of money and immediately absorb it into her body.
I opened my backpack and saw that I had a total of 9 gold coins.
Seeing smiley face bubbles appear above Terra's head, Ragon returned to Mana's side.
"Terra takes the lion's share, and we'll split the rest."
Bahrain suddenly spoke up: "I don't need my share."
Lagon was somewhat surprised: "Are you sure?"
Bahrain had already made enough money from the war by following Tie Mei, and he was too embarrassed to take any more.

On the other side, the painting Terra had placed there, titled "God, the Saintess is Pregnant! Who Did It!", attracted many adventurers. Everyone who saw it exclaimed in surprise, and then more people noticed the strangeness and gathered around.
Whispers spread like ripples.
The crowd stirred. Some gasped, some covered their mouths, and some began looking around, observing the expressions of the other adventurers who worshipped the moon goddess.
They actually found it quite enjoyable.
After all, in the current city of Mi, Terra is probably the first person to dare to publicly display this painting that was personally ordered to be sealed by the Holy Maiden.
And this painting is so big!
Anyone who pushes open the union door can see it.
Stella had already noticed the adventurers making a fuss over something, but she didn't have time to deal with it for the moment. She was behind the counter checking the order forms of the new adventurers.
Finally, the work is finished.
"What are you all doing gathered here?"
She tiptoed and squeezed her way into the crowd.
The moment Stella saw the painting on the wall, she felt a chill run down her spine to the top of her head.
She gasped.
She remembered that painting.
Previously, it was revealed that the previous saint of the Moon Worshipping Church was a man dressed as a woman, and was the concubinage of a female cardinal in Avignon.
With a new saint appointed, the priests of the Micheng diocese, in an effort to appear approachable and curry favor with the Holy See, organized an event calling on novelists and painters to submit works on the themes of "religion, love, and mystery." One painter submitted a catalogue of sketches, and wasn't that the very painting?
Wasn't the painter already completely baffled? Had the painting been taken to the palace by the saintess?
But now, this painting is hanging openly on the main wall of the union hall.
Stella asked the adventurers around her, "Where did this painting come from?"
"It was that guy Terra who posted it."
Welcome!
Hearing the parrot's cry, Stella turned around sharply and saw Terra and the elves enter the hall.
"Terra!" Stella practically leaped over the crowd, rushing to Terra and whispering urgently, "That painting! Quickly! Put it away! Now! Right now!"
Terra had just taken the money from Ragon when she turned to look at her, and the smiley face bubble above her head turned into a question mark.
Why?
"What?! Why?!" Stella stamped her feet in frustration. "That's a forbidden painting! It was personally ordered to be sealed away by the Saintess! Hanging it in the guild will cause trouble!"
"It's just a painting." Terra looked puzzled. "It has no function at all, it's just sitting here."
"Function? Make those male adventurers unload the cargo the moment they open the hall doors?"
Stella paused for a moment, but immediately put the question out of her mind.
"The key isn't its functionality! The key is what the Vatican will think of it! The unions will be cracked down on!"
She can't be without a job; she still has a mortgage to pay!
Terra had just finished cleaning out the items in her backpack and piggy bank when she fell to her death and respawned at the base.
He didn't want to make another round trip by bed for a painting; it was too much trouble.
Seeing that Terra had no intention of taking the painting back, Stella simply went up and pried it off herself.
She turned around, pushed through the crowd, walked to the painting, grabbed the edge of the frame, and pulled hard, but the painting wouldn't budge.
She tried again, this time using all her strength, her face turning red. But the painting seemed to be permanently attached to the wall, firmly fixed there.
"Who can help me?" Stella turned around for help.
"Stella, let's just hang this painting up," said one of the adventurers.
Stella was furious: "If the saint or the papacy ever sees this painting again during their tours, the guild will be shut down, and you adventurers can expect to go hungry!"
Only after hearing the waiter say this did the adventurer realize what was going on.
Several kind-hearted adventurers stepped forward, some grabbing the frame, others bracing themselves against the wall, all pulling together. But no matter how they pulled or shook, the painting remained firmly in place.
Some people even tried to pry open the animation frame with a dagger.
Stella walked to the side of the painting and looked at it; there was no gap between the painting and the wall. The edges of the canvas blended smoothly into the wall, as if it had grown out of the wall itself.
The nails were completely embedded in the wall, and even the nail heads were not visible.
Stella: "How do we get this down?"
It's over! It's over!
