Chapter 82: The Five Major Factions, the Ocean School
Chapter 82: The Five Major Factions, the Ocean School
Lin Wei nodded, took a sharp knife, and slashed his hand hard. He frowned slightly, barely managing to break a small opening in the skin, and dripped a few drops of blood into the periodic lamp.
In just a few breaths, Lin Wei's bleeding skin healed completely, leaving only a faint white mark. He moved his fingers.
"You must be a Grand Knight, right? Grand Knights are extremely popular in the wizarding world." This scene caught Munger's eye, and he said with envy and longing in his eyes.
"Haha, you flatter me." Lin Wei smiled and waved his hand.
"Please wait a moment, this periodic light needs to analyze your various affinities." Munger's attitude became increasingly friendly as he patiently explained, his eyes fixed on the periodic light.
Not long after, the periodic light changed five colors and then emitted a quill pen, which wrote something on an envelope that Munger had prepared beforehand. The quill pen seemed to have a life of its own, moving very quickly across the envelope.
"magic."
Seeing the quill pen writing furiously, Lin Wei was truly amazed, his eyes widening in astonishment.
Unlike Lin Wei's relaxed expression, Meng Ge looked tense, with fine beads of sweat on his forehead, staring intently at the words written on the envelope.
Finally, he frowned and said, "Lord Lin Wei, compared to the other elements, your affinity for the water element is the highest. Your affinity for the other four elements—metal, wood, fire, and earth—is negligible, though not great. However, your affinity for the water element has only received a very low rating."
"Thin?" Lin Wei asked in confusion, his brows furrowing slightly.
"That's right, elemental affinity is related to the speed of meditation practice, and it's the foundation of a wizard's cultivation. But even a low affinity is quite good; the other elements also have affinity, much better than mine." Monger shook his head, his eyes filled with melancholy. "Metal, wood, water, fire, earth—I don't have an affinity for any of them."
"Oh? I thought you were a wizard." Lin Wei asked curiously, leaning forward slightly.
"I am not a wizard. Our family has only signed a contract with the adults in the wizarding world, and we have a lineage of formal wizards. Therefore, the Lamplighters of this Eastern Continent have always been the responsibility of our Monticant family." Mung smiled, a hint of pride on his face, and slightly raised his chin. "Your Excellency has five elemental affinities, which means you can cultivate the meditation methods of the five basic schools, but I still recommend the water-based meditation method the most."
"I see. So everyone has these five elemental affinities? Even among wizard apprentices?" Lin Wei leaned forward, his gaze focused, and continued to ask.
"To be honest, when it comes to affinity, the more specialized the better. Ideally, you should only have one attribute, as that's the fastest way to cultivate. Many wizards aren't willing to accept someone with five attributes like you, sir. Wizards prefer newcomers with fewer attributes." Mung paused, his brow furrowing slightly, a hint of helplessness on his face. "However, your Grand Knight skills are a significant advantage."
After trying to understand for a while, Lin Wei stroked his chin and muttered to himself, "Then I get it. It's a bit like the spiritual roots in the cultivation novels on Earth in my previous life. The more attributes you have, the more mixed they are, which is actually not good."
Although Monger didn't know what Lin Wei was muttering about, he still smiled, his eyes narrowing into slits, and said, "It's good that you understand. However, you do have some talent in water elementalism, so I suggest you choose a marine-based wizarding organization, which is more suitable for someone with water elemental talent to cultivate."
"Really?" Lin Wei smiled slightly, not taking it seriously.
Lin Wei didn't care about talent or anything like that. As long as he reached the threshold, that was enough. He also had the Rubik's Cube and the prototype of his awesome ancient inheritance witch array source heart. These were his confidence. Thinking of these things, confidence flashed in his eyes.
"Are there any other factions besides the Ocean Faction?" Lin Wei asked, tilting his head.
"There are also four major factions: the Metal Faction, the Fire Faction, the Forest Faction, and the Earth Faction. These are the main factions. There are also some minor factions or derivatives, such as the Shadow Faction and the Thunder Faction," Monger explained patiently, gesturing with his hands as he spoke.
"I see." Lin Wei nodded slightly, seemingly lost in thought.
"However, the situation in the wizarding world is not good. In recent years, fewer and fewer wizards have been guided to the wizarding world." Munger lowered his voice, his brows furrowed, and his face full of worry. "Two days later, I will take you and the other wizarding seeds to see the guiding wizard. You will also follow him to leave this human continent and go to the wizarding world."
"Okay, thank you."
The situation in the Wizarding World isn't good? Even if it's bad, it's still better than the human world.
Lin Wei frowned, clasped his hands in a fist salute, thanked him, and then turned and left. The air in the room was somewhat stuffy; he took a deep breath and quickened his pace.
Even though Lin Wei has reached the sixth level of the Three Breaths Technique, he doesn't dare to say how strong he is. After all, there are still divine agents in the southern part of the continent, as well as the gods behind them. These are far beyond his ability to deal with. Thinking of this, his eyes became firm.
……
Two days later, an owl knocked on the window of Lin Wei's room. The owl hooted and its eyes darted around. Under its claws was a burning letter, which emitted a faint smell of burning.
"Lord Linwei, please meet at the wooden cabin in the center of the Gray Hidden Forest outside the city—Monger."
"Let's gather. I passed through Gray Forest on my way here, so I know the route."
Lin Wei didn't have time to wonder how the owl had found him; he lightly touched the ground with his toes and disappeared into the room in a flash. The dust in the room was kicked up and swirled in the air.
After two hours, Lin Wei found the small wooden cabin hidden in the gray fog. The fog surrounded the cabin, making it impossible to see what was inside. After using his Mind Cube and advanced perception to probe, he was surprised to find nearly fifty people inside, and a look of astonishment appeared on his face.
"So many?"
Lin Wei pushed open the door, and heard a creaking sound as the hinges made a jarring noise. A large crowd gathered, many turning to look at him before turning back to talk amongst themselves, creating a noisy scene.
Lin Wei thought to himself, "Oh, I'm disguised, so no one recognizes me. No, even if I weren't disguised, no one would recognize me." He smiled slightly, revealing a self-deprecating smile.
Most of the people on the field were nobles, dressed in gorgeous clothes and speaking elegantly. Lin Wei didn't recognize any of them; they all looked like people from other kingdoms, and there wasn't a single person from the Kingdom of Atlantis.
Among them were several Grand Knights, but Lin Wei easily sensed their strength; they were not as strong as him. There were also a few Standard Knights standing to the side, their eyes revealing tension.
