Chapter 88 Wizard's Business Card, Senior Sister Doraemon
Chapter 88 Wizard's Business Card, Senior Sister Doraemon
Over the next two months, the large ship docked at various lands, and one by one, the surviving wizard seeds were taken away by their guides. The sea breeze howled, making the sails flutter loudly.
"Lion Knight, Dune Knight, my wizarding organization has arrived. Keep in touch. I'm at Frostsong Hall." The Ice Cicada Knight, sitting on a small boat, waved vigorously to the people on the large ship. Behind him stood wizard apprentices in robes, standing quietly.
"Go ahead, good luck," Lin Wei replied with a smile and a wave.
He had a good impression of the Ice Cicada Knight, who seemed cold on the outside but warm on the inside.
"No problem." The Dune Knight nodded seriously.
The large ship continued toward the next wizarding organization, waves crashing against its hull and splashing up white spray.
"Have you decided where to go?" Wizard Randolph appeared in front of Lin Wei, arms crossed. "I've already given you a list of the maritime factions along the way."
"My lord, I want to find the most stable option. Which one is the most suitable for me: the Dewdrop Altar, the Abyss Shell, or the Turing Tower? These are already my shortlisted choices," Lin Wei said, frowning and looking troubled.
After receiving the list, he narrowed it down from more than ten organizations to just three.
These days he chats with the wizard Randolph from time to time, and the two have become much more familiar with each other.
Randolph chuckled and replied, "I didn't expect you to be so hung up on this. This Dewdrop Altar mainly focuses on healing witchcraft, and the witches are all benevolent. If you're interested in witches, you can go there. The Abyss Shell is famous for its water shield magic and excels in defense, so it would suit you well too. As for the Turing Tower, I don't know exactly what they do. I've hardly ever heard of them. I imagine they're a very low-profile organization, uninvolved in worldly affairs."
One has many witches, one uses water shield magic, and one is indifferent to worldly affairs.
"Then let's go with the Turing Tower." Lin Wei hesitated for a moment, then gritted his teeth and made his choice.
"Okay." Randolph didn't care too much about where Lin Wei was going; he was simply showing some goodwill as an investment.
He thought to himself, "Among the wizarding talents on this ship, the knights are quite strong, but their wizarding talent is lacking. Whether they can become formal wizards depends entirely on their own destiny. Even Lin Wei, whom I least expected, is doing very well to have become a first-class wizard apprentice and touched the threshold of becoming a formal wizard."
Before long, the large ship docked, and the Dune Knights arrived at their destination: the Rock Vein Barrier, an organization of earth-faction wizards. Continuous rock walls appeared on the shore, tall and steep.
"Lion Knight, I'm leaving. Keep in touch." The Dune Knight smiled and waved to Lin Wei. Behind him stood a wizard apprentice with earth elemental energy surging around him.
"Okay, goodbye." Lin Wei said goodbye with a smile.
Whether it was the Fire Rhino Knight who left first, or the Ice Cicada Knight, or the Sand Dune Knight, Lin Wei had the idea of befriending them all.
A month later, it was still on the sea, where the waves were surging.
A small boat was approaching from outside the large ship. Someone on the boat was waving a wand to signal, and the tip of the wand was flashing with a strange light. Lin Wei looked at it and saw that it was a witch.
"Lin Wei, the people from Turing Tower are here to pick you up," Wizard Randolph said, glancing at the sign on the small boat.
"Oh, finally it's my turn."
These days, Lin Wei can't do anything except patiently practice breathing techniques; he's become somewhat numb.
"Go ahead, this is my wizard's business card. It has my contact information on it. See you again someday." Randolph hesitated for a moment, his brows furrowing slightly, as if he had made a difficult decision. In the end, he tossed Lin Wei a glowing card. The card emitted a faint blue light, tracing a graceful arc in the air.
"A wizard's business card?" Lin Wei politely accepted the card with both hands, his face filled with curiosity, his fingers gently stroking the surface of the card.
"If we're close enough, my business card will glow. It's my symbol, and also a kind of talisman for you. Remember, don't do too many bad things in the future, and don't go down the path of a dark wizard." Randolph's expression was serious, and his eyes revealed concern.
"Let me remind you, not all wizards are as easy to get along with as I, Randolph. We wizards from the human world have no local background, and we have to rely on ourselves for everything. The waters of the wizarding world are deeper than you imagine." Randolph kept reminding Lin Wei, his arms crossed and his body leaning slightly forward.
When the others left, he only gave a perfunctory reply, but when it came to Lin Wei, he suddenly started rambling on and on, occasionally tapping the gunwale with his fingers.
Perhaps it was their time together these past few days that made him feel that Lin Wei was someone he could invest in?
"Understood, thank you, sir. I will remember it." Lin Wei nodded earnestly, his eyes full of gratitude.
Since arriving in the Wizarding World, he hasn't been able to use his Cube Mind Map, but he can sense that Randolph is genuinely good to him. A gentle sea breeze blows by, lifting the hem of his clothes.
Taking advantage of his physical strength, Lin Wei pushed off with both feet and jumped directly from the large ship to a small boat waiting nearby, splashing up a huge spray of water that shimmered in the sunlight.
Watching Lin Wei's departing figure, Randolph muttered, "Damn it, suddenly so fussy." He shook his head helplessly as he spoke.
He turned back and said indifferently to the remaining people, "Next, Jax, the Metal Faction wizarding organization Everglades Sanctuary, prepare yourself." After saying that, he didn't even glance at the crowned nobleman Jax, turned around and hurried into the cabin.
Jax's face was so dark it seemed to drip water. He gripped the ship's mast tightly, his knuckles turning white from the force. He clenched his fists and said, "Lin Wei, just stay in the Turing Tower and wait to die." His teeth were grinding, and his eyes were filled with resentment.
Right now, on the small boat.
Lin Wei stared at the witch on the boat. She was a blonde, blue-eyed witch holding a thick parchment scroll. Her eyelashes were long, and her eyes were like deep lake water. She was one of the most beautiful people Lin Wei had ever seen in his life.
The witch frowned, her face showing displeasure, and said, "Why did you jump in? Weren't you afraid of falling into the sea?"
Lin Wei's entrance seemed bizarre to her; in her opinion, he was an unreliable person.
"I can swim." Lin Wei grinned, revealing his white teeth. "Not too scared, right? It's just that I've been cooped up on the big ship for too long."
"I see. However, there are many sea creatures around here. This is the Endless Sea, which is different from the sea in the human world. If you fall in, you'll be in big trouble. My name is Dora, a first-class wizard apprentice from the Turing Tower, and your guide. Welcome to our wizarding organization." Dora smiled and led Lin Wei into the ship's small hall, gracefully tossing her hair.
