Chapter 148 Underwater Changes, Devastating Impact
"Yeah, this big guy's asking for it. He thinks we, the Natural Resonance, are easy to bully." A male wizard nodded vigorously, his eyes revealing disdain, and a slight upturn of his lips as he spoke contemptuously.
Lin Wei simply watched coldly, his eyes like icy blades, silently observing the vines connecting to his small boat. His face remained expressionless, and he stood ramrod straight, like an unshakeable mountain.
"These guys are making me look like the villain. They're the ones who're causing trouble." Lin Wei slowly shook his head, his brows furrowing slightly, a look of helplessness on his face, and his lips pouting slightly, as if complaining about the unfair treatment.
He wasn't easily swayed by the presence of this first-rate wizard apprentice; his hands hung casually at his sides, his expression calm.
"However, there seems to be quite a commotion underwater." Lin Wei suddenly frowned, his face showing vigilance, and his ears twitched slightly as he listened carefully to the sounds coming from underwater.
As Lin Wei approached the small boat belonging to the Natural Organization, he noticed a series of strange buzzing sounds emanating from underwater. It sounded like the lowing of some enormous sea beast, or perhaps the utterance of a mysterious sea creature. The sound echoed through the water, sending chills down his spine. Eerie ripples also spread across the surface of the sea, as if something was stirring beneath the surface.
"Is there an opportunity down there? Or is there some danger?" Lin Wei was now somewhat afraid of the endless sea. His body trembled slightly, and worry appeared on his face. He opened his mouth slightly and muttered to himself.
The commotion he caused by his previous deduction of the Knight's Formless Body was still vivid in his mind. At that time, the wind was howling and the waves were surging, like the end of the world. This was the closest he had ever been to death since Lin Wei's transmigration. Every time he thought about it, a layer of cold sweat would break out on his back.
"Forget it, let's deal with this guy first." Lin Wei looked at the Natural Resonance Organization and the others who were slowly floating towards him on magic brooms. His face turned cold, his eyes revealed killing intent, his hands clenched into fists, and his body leaned forward slightly, ready for battle.
At this moment, in this sea area, not only were there frictions on Lin Wei's side, but also in various places, any small boats that were relatively close were constantly clashing. A tense atmosphere permeated the sea, with crew members glaring at each other, and some even brandishing their weapons, making a "whooshing" sound.
Some wizard apprentices had even begun to fight, brandishing their wands and unleashing various spells. The magical light shimmered on the sea, reflecting a kaleidoscope of colors across the water. Some spells struck the opposing boats, instantly blasting them to pieces, sending splinters flying everywhere. Other wizard apprentices, struck by magic, screamed and fell into the sea, splashing high into the air. Everyone was vying for more fishing space, as if it were a life-or-death battle.
"Kid, are you going to jump down yourself, or wait for me to knock you down?" Parker jumped off his magic broom, his feet slamming heavily onto the deck with a "bang." He strode up to Lin Wei, his face arrogant, his eyes wide open as if he wanted to devour him.
Behind him, several wizard apprentices from the Natural Organization followed, all sizing up Lin Wei. Some of the apprentices smirked, revealing mocking smiles. Others crossed their arms, looking utterly disdainful.
One of the second-class wizard apprentices even ran into the fuel compartment of the small boat and then came out to report: "Commander Parker, this small boat's fuel can last for another two months. Shall we move it now?" His face was filled with greed, and his eyes were gleaming with excitement.
Lin Wei was utterly speechless. His mouth gaped slightly, and he wore a bewildered expression. Were these people brain-dead? They didn't treat him like a human being at all. Getting on his ship was like coming home?
"You can jump down yourself. I don't want to do it." Parker raised his hand and pointed his wand at Lin Wei's forehead. Elemental particles on the wand danced on it, making a "sizzling" sound. Hundreds of elemental particles flickered on it, like little stars.
"Get lost." Lin Wei was too lazy to act anymore. He only knew that there was a faint disturbance in this sea area. The waves on the surface of the sea were getting bigger and bigger. The waves collided with each other and made a "booming" sound. Almost no one noticed the changes underwater. He had to concentrate. His brows were tightly furrowed and his eyes revealed anxiety.
"You want me to get lost?" Parker was so angry that his teeth itched, and the muscles on his face trembled slightly. A green leaf gradually condensed on his wand, with at least a hundred hertz of fluctuation on it. The green leaf shimmered with green light and exuded a mysterious aura.
"Water Cannon." Lin Wei casually raised his wand and condensed a huge water cannon at an even faster speed. The water cannon was transparent blue, and it looked like there was water flowing inside. He casually threw it in front of Parker. Wherever the water cannon passed, the seawater was parted, forming a deep water mark.
"So fast? Faster than I, a first-class wizard apprentice, can condense?" Parker was shocked. His eyes widened like saucers, and a look of horror appeared on his face. He bit his tongue hard, condensed the green leaf, and threw it onto the water cannon.
"Natural Vine Magic, Leaf Spell." The green leaves spun continuously, and sharp vines appeared all around. The vines shimmered with green light, like sharp swords, with a power approaching 150 Hz. Wherever the vines passed, the air was cut through, making a "hissing" sound.
The other wizard apprentices stopped what they were doing, their eyes fixed on the spot where the water cannon collided with the green leaves, their faces showing tension. Some wizard apprentices unconsciously clenched their hands, while others trembled slightly.
"This guy can cast magic faster than Commander Parker?" The witch looked incredulous, her eyes wide and her mouth agape, her face filled with astonishment.
"Yes, it doesn't make sense." A wizard apprentice nodded, his brows furrowed and his face showing confusion.
"So what? It just means he's more skilled. His water cannon will probably be destroyed by Commander Parker's Leaf Spell soon," a wizard apprentice said confidently, a slight smile playing on his lips.
boom!
Unexpectedly, the green leaf shattered upon contact with the water cannon, falling limply onto the deck and disappearing. The water cannon, however, remained powerful, slamming into Parker with tremendous force, like a giant cannonball.
"How is this possible?" Parker exclaimed in horror, his face filled with despair as he desperately retreated. "To be able to shatter my Leaf Spell head-on, the magical power contained in your Water Cannon is at least twice that of mine."
