Chapter 767 - 738: Love Across Parallel Worlds [060]
060[Parallel Universe: Epilogue]When Sienna Thorne came down, Simon Forrester, dressed in a formal suit, was leaning against the car.
She originally planned to sneak up and give him a scare, but after taking a few steps, she became so happy that she floated toward him with a smile, jogging over and jumping into his arms as he turned around. He instinctively caught her, smiling as he kissed her cheek. Then, holding her like that, he moved to the passenger side.
He settled into the driver’s seat, still fastening his seatbelt, while Sienna leaned over and kissed his cheek: "Miss me?"
His body stiffened, naturally clicking the seatbelt in place. His voice turned deep and husky, "I think about you every day."
"Me too..." Sienna simply threw her arms around him, her cheek brushing against his shoulder, "I miss you so much every day."
As more people started heading to the parking lot, Simon patted Sienna’s arm, "Let’s go eat first."
The car headed towards Founders’ Gate.
Simon seemed particularly fond of high-altitude restaurants, and today he took Sienna to a restaurant on the 79th floor of Zenith Tower for dinner.
During the meal, Simon, who always paid attention to dining etiquette, frequently glanced at his phone and stepped out to take calls. Sienna thought he still had work to deal with, having returned from Zahrat early, so she didn’t say anything, quietly continuing her meal.
Normally, after dinner, the two would take advantage of the restaurant’s romantic lighting and the dessert in the center of the table to have a soft and gentle chat. But today, seeing how busy Simon was, she didn’t have the heart to waste his time and asked the restaurant to skip dessert.
Simon looked up from his phone and smiled at her, "Finished eating? Then let’s go." With that, he called over a waiter to settle the bill.
Hand in hand, they entered the elevator. Just as Sienna was about to ask if they should head straight home, she noticed him pressing the button for the 80th floor.
"Are we going to The Stratos Lounge?" she asked.
"Mm." Simon looked down at her, his amber eyes as bright as the stars. She stared back, momentarily blushing.
He hadn’t said much, just a simple "Mm," but the way he looked at her so seriously, with his deep eyes slightly curved, made her feel overwhelmed. She hadn’t blushed in a long time, but now her face turned red again like a teenage girl, quickly lowering her head.
Simon chuckled, pulling her halfway into his embrace.
With a "ding," the 80th floor arrived.
This was a high-altitude bar that offered views of most of the city, as if it existed in the clouds. Simon liked to bring her here after dinner to have some juice and chat while listening to music in a quiet setting.
She thought it was just another ordinary evening unless she hadn’t seen Simon’s group of friends.
The seats below the small stage were all empty, and Jack, Gage, Logan, Harrison, and a few others Sienna didn’t recognize but could tell were from Simon’s circle were standing and joking around beneath the stage.
When everyone saw them coming in hand in hand, they quickly stopped joking.
Sienna was a bit puzzled and asked Simon, "Are those all your friends?"
"Yes, my best friends and their families."
Sienna smiled, "Do you want to introduce us? Why didn’t you invite them for dinner earlier?"
"Come over here first." Simon led her towards the stage.
At that moment, the dim lighting of the stage suddenly lit up brightly.
Harrison and Logan pulled down the velvet curtain from both sides of the stage, instantly revealing a rose wall decorated with large red roses.
Upon closer inspection, there was a teddy bear made of roses standing by the wall, holding a gift box with a bow.
A romantic and pleasant foreign song began to play on-site, while Simon’s friends formed two rows, smiling as they watched the couple.
The waist-high AI rose teddy bear suddenly walked up to Sienna with the gift box in its arms, mechanically raising its hands to present the box to her.
Sienna chuckled at its cute and clumsy appearance, looking up at Simon, "Did you want to celebrate my birthday early tonight?"
Simon shook his head, taking the gift box from the teddy bear’s hands with a smile.
In the middle of the gift box lay a deep red, uniquely shaped velvet box.
He took out the velvet box, opened it, and before Sienna could react, he knelt down on one knee.
Sienna stared in disbelief at the blue diamond ring held out before her. Her hand, which was about to help Simon to his feet, froze.
Kneeling on one knee, Simon looked deeply into her eyes, "Annie, I love you. Marry me."
The crowd clapped, "Say yes! Say yes! Say yes!"
Sienna covered her mouth in disbelief, her eyes quickly welling up with tears.
Simon repeated, "Annie, marry me. I want to build a home with you that’s ours." His voice was raspy, yet unbearably charming.
Sienna, deeply moved, bent down to help him up, "Silly, get up."
"Annie, marry me."
"Alright, alright, get up." With that, she tried to pull him up again.
He took the opportunity to gently hold her left wrist and slipped the precious azure diamond ring onto her left ring finger. Then he stood up and embraced the joy-filled Sienna, lowering his head to kiss her.
The crowd clapped and laughed, "Congratulations! Wishing you happiness!"
...
Not long after, in May, the Forrester Family went to the Thorne Family to propose. The Forrester Family’s willingness to meet halfway made the proposal process smooth and harmonious.
In September of the same year, Simon and Sienna went to Europe to take wedding photos.
In February 2018, Simon and Sienna held a grand and imposing wedding;
That August, as Sienna marked her two-year anniversary in practice, her contract with Vantage expired, and she co-founded a law firm with two other young lawyers, officially launching the firm;
In May 2019, the Natural Lake Resort opened;
That October, Sienna became the General Manager of the Forrester Group’s Legal Department and took only three months to clean up Bianca Fordham and others who had long been receiving kickbacks, involving huge amounts of money, from the Forrester Group.
In September 2019, Simon accidentally fell at work, resulting in a spinal injury. He then stepped down as the head of SY Design Firm and assumed a new role as the Chairman of the Forrester Group, building a business empire with Sienna.
In February 2020, Sienna began her work in the Treaty and Law Department; in December of the same year, she gained nationwide recognition for flawlessly handling an anti-dumping case involving fasteners worth billions, reaching her first career peak.
In August of the following year, Sienna gave birth to their eldest son, Kaden Forrester.
In October 2027, thirty-six-year-old Sienna once again gave birth to a pair of twins for Simon.
In 2052, Sienna and Simon retired in the same year after Sienna stepped down from her position as Prime Minister, and the couple moved into the small apartment they lived in during their early romantic days, as if they had returned to their youth.
Looking back on their lives, they never had any major arguments after their initial half-month long cold war during the early days of their relationship, living a life full of love and affection.
Many years later, even as an octogenarian, Simon often reminisces about that afternoon when a reckless young girl bumped into him in the men’s restroom, leaving a cute lipstick mark on his white shirt.
That playful shade of red was right over his chest, etched into his heart for a lifetime, becoming the most vivid color in his memory.
